Legislative Support - Being the nation's largest organization of law enforcement people, the FOP aggressively provides a professional, full service legislative operation. Through the Director of Member Services, the FOP coordinates the Order's legislative activities, providing our membership with a full time lobbyist on Capitol Hill.The Order's legislative agenda is set by the Delegates at the Biennial Conventions that are held in cities like Orlando, Louisville, Pittsburg, Baltimore, Phoenix, Oklahoma City, Mobile, Long Beach, and Virginia Beach
The Legal Defense Plan - Controlled by the members of the Order and Administrated by the firm of Hyatt & MacLean. The plan covers costs of legal actions that result from your employment as a law enforcement officer. The plan also covers Civil action and Administrative hearing costs involved in defending the participant. Optional HR-218 coverage is now available as a single option or is provided at no cost to members that have existing full coverage. This plan is only available to FOP members at a reasonable rate.

The Kansas State Lodge also provides an Accidental Death & Dismemberment Policy to all Kansas Lodge members. members are provided a $5,000 accidential death and dismemberment policy paid for by the state lodge This policy has additional benefits of Line of Duty, Felonious Assault, & Heart & Circulatory Malfunction.
